Tim’s Gabrielson’s blend of comedy and magic will have you laughing from the moment he hits the stage!

Tim Gabrielson has been performing and speaking for over 28 years.  He originally became in-demand nationally for his riveting show combining clean humor and highly-skilled magic. It didn’t take long to gain the attention of agents and producers alike-which landed him fill-in spots for Vegas headliners like Ron Lucas and Mac King-before acquiring his own room at The House of Blues in Mandalay Bay on the Vegas Strip.

Tommy Ryman grew up with a new-age, folksinging mother and a traditional, Lutheran insurance-agent father. This XY equation evidently equals: acclaimed comedian. Ryman has earned the title of Semifinalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing. Roseanne Barr, a professed fan, raves she has “…never seen anything like [Tommy] before in [her] whole life, [he is] one-of-a-kind, fantastic!”

Ryman’s act can be described as absurdist and clever, masked behind a very likable and innocent demeanor, often thought of as disturbingly adorable. He is a favorite among audiences at top clubs, colleges, and companies around the nation, and he is regularly featured on Rooftop Comedy,
SiriusXM, and iheartradio.

Tim Leads Win-Win’s First Minnesota Chapter by Helping Those Affected by Sarcoma

On Jan. 29, 2017, Tim had the pleasure of partnering with the Rein in Sarcoma Foundation and Win-Win Entertainment for the first time to encourage and uplift those who have been affected by the cancer sarcoma.

Win-Win Entertainment provides opportunities for entertainers to give to those who are influenced by misfortune and it is working with Tim to expand the organization by starting a new chapter in Minnesota.

“I have experienced first-hand the work that Win-Win Entertainment does in Las Vegas, having volunteered with Miracle League and entertained at the John Bailey Memorial Golf Tournament that raises scholarship money for children of slain FBI agents,” said Tim Gabrielson, “I’m so excited to be leading the charge here to bring Win-Win Entertainment to our community in Minneapolis.”

With support from the founder of Win-Win Entertainment, Jeff Civillico, Tim lead the new Minnesota chapter by holding its first event by helping the Rein in Sarcoma Foundation, which is headquartered in Shoreview, Minnesota.

The program was started with guest speakers who survived different variations of the cancer. They helped answer questions and encourage patients who might be going through similar situations that they went through themselves. After the encouraging words from the guest speakers, Tim had the privilege of contributing his services to help motivate and bring laughter to the crowd.

 

He was able to perform his inspirational blend of comedy and magic for sarcoma patients, survivors, and their loved ones. After the show, Tim also took time to visit the hospital, where he performed for a small group and visited children at their bedsides to help bring happiness and comfort to those who were not able to attend the fundraiser/awareness event.

“It feels good to do good,” said Tim.

The weekend turned into a great performance where Tim gave back to the community, especially to those who are going through the hardships of sarcoma.

“Throughout his presentation Gabrielson encouraged us to smile more often and be warm and engaging to others to make the world a better place. He had a compelling message that if we choose to have a positive outlook we are likely to be happier,” said Rein in Sarcoma Volunteer Coordinator Connie Dow, “Thanks for all you do, Tim, and for leading the charge to bring Win-Win Entertainment to Minneapolis!”

The Rein in Sarcoma Foundation is an organization for people who are impacted by sarcoma, a cancer typically found in the soft tissues. This organization helps fund and support research, host activities for educational purposes, and provides encouragement to those who are influenced by sarcoma.

On February 4, 2017, Tim will be performing a family friendly combination of comedy and magic to help raise money for A Night to Remember Prom 2017.

 

A Night to Remember is a free Prom honoring students aged 15-24 with special needs and will be held later this year, on April 30. Honored guests are provided with free tuxedos/prom dresses, accessories, hair styling and makeup by professional cosmetologists, a corsage or boutonniere, a ride in a limousine, a walk down the red carpet (with paparazzi and cheering fans), dinner and dancing, a gift bag and prom photo. The honored guests are partnered with a student who serves as their host and treats them like the stars they are all night.

“(Our guests) are expected to have a lot of fun, laugh a lot and help raise money for our prom,” Jenny Becker, the event director, said. “Tim is a great guy with a big heart.” She said he offered to help be a part of a fundraiser after performing and interacting with guests at last year’s event. “Many of us had seen him perform in the past and had a blast, so it was a huge blessing for him to offer that.”

 

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 6:35 p.m.

Is Fun at Work an Oxymoron?

For most, no less than 40 hours each week are spent on the job. A person’s attitude most often means the difference between a promotion and stagnation. How can you keep your attitude positive and your mind fresh? Focus on being a proactive, team player in order to develop the needed synergies and level the playing field for you, your boss, and the customers your organization serves? Laughter, of course, is the right answer, but you need to do it with class. Know when your humor will be most appreciated and how to apply it to the best audience.

The atmosphere in today’s business world is open and inviting fun while maintaining strong guidelines on productivity. Largely gone from the halls of most employers are the starched shirt, suit and formal wear of the past. Open collars and even open toes are much more common than ever before. Use this level of informality to your advantage as you go through your day and you’ll find that you enjoy being at work more than ever before. There are limits, and of course a time and a place for everything. Consult your employee handbook if there’s any question whether a line you’re considering as optional to cross is really a form of insubordination or unwelcome harassment. Better yet, schedule an appointment with your human resources director. Bring a copy of the manual in Braille and admit there are parts you don’t quite understand and would appreciate some guidance in interpreting.

Unlike a lot of performers today, I prefer to keep my material fun for the whole family. I strive on going to the edge, but never going over. I enjoy pushing people’s limits of laughter. Having a good time doesn’t have to mean being vulgar, and in fact, I like to think that it’s a sign of real talent to be able to avoid the easy shots. This is how I spend my time, and I want to be comfortable doing it no matter where I happen to be. Whether I’m at a comedy club, on a University campus, in Las Vegas or at a company event, I tailor my act for my audience, but it’s still a show that anyone can see and appreciate. This is important to note, because when you go out there on your own and start pushing your own limits, you’re going to have to know where to stop before crossing the line.
